Richmal Crompton's untidy, opinionated but aspirational and optimistic anti-hero, William Brown, was created in 1919: since then the eleven-year old character whom she categorized as a 'pot-boiler' has become a household word and an archetype of the inquiring, adventurous, outdoor child.

William Brown, in Nicholas Hutson's musical adaptation of Crompton's best-loved William stories, has been threatened to be sent to boarding school by his long-suffering father if he continues to misbehave. More worryingly for William and his Outlaws, his bow and arrow has been confiscated - requiring them to come up with a way of providing funds to purchase a new set.

Inviting all the quintessential Cromptonian characters to the stage, Just William: The Musical is packed with highly entertaining scenes and soaring melodies, encapsulating the vibrant musical atmosphere of 1930s Britain.
